“Maybe I’m good at… Mind Control!
We spend about 2,000 hours every year at work. That’s a lot of time. In five years, we’ve met the supposed 10,000-hour rule. We should be good at what we do by then, right?
Well, whether we’re good at our work often has very little to do with what we believe about ourselves. In fact, my very successful friend Chris Cardinal tweeted today:
My brother and I joke that the one thing we're good at is convincing people we're good at things
So, which is it? Are we good at tricking people into believing we’re good? Or are we good?
(Here’s a hint: none of us are good at mind control.)
FYI, this comic is one of several from my book Mental Prisons.
