In the movie Office Space, there’s a running joke that “somebody has a case of the Mondays!”
I spent many years in corporate offices learning about this phenomenon. Millions of people hate their jobs, they hate the people they work with, and they spend many of their weekends being miserable about going back to work. I believe it’s also called “working for the weekend.”
Whatever it is, it’s just another mental prison.
The last thing I want to do live every day dreading the next day or the next week. We work more than 2,000 hours a year over the course of 48 or 49 weeks. Why spend it being miserable?
